Class9: Parts of Speech - What is an Interjection?

After Learning all the Basics and Advance parts of speech, such as Verbs, Proverbs, Prepositions, Conjunctions, Adverbs, Noun and all the Other Major Parts in the previous eight Classes, Today in Our Final Class of Parts of Speech we will learn the Final part of Speech which is Interjection.

What is an interjection?

Interjections are those words which Express Feelings and Sentiments. The Feelings may be Gladness, Sadness, Shock or Wonderful.
For Example:
  1. Yeah! I Passed my English Paper.
  2. Hurrah! We won Once Again.
  3. Oh! That is Unbelievable.
  4. Ah! This Painful.
  5. bravo! He is back with more strength this Time.
In the Above Given Lines the Words Yeah, Hurrah, Oh, Ah, and Bravo are the interjections because it Express the Feelings of Some One.

We Use Different Expressions for Each Feeling.
For Example: When We feel Happy we use the Words like 'Hurrah' and 'Wow' Etc.
When we Feel Sorrow we use the Words like 'OMG' and 'Ah' etc.
When we Feeling Wonderful we use the Words like 'Really' and 'What' etc.
When we get Achievements or Success we use the Words like 'Good' & 'Well done' etc.
When we Try to get Some Ones Attraction we use the Words 'Hello' and 'Hey' Etc.

There are many other Such words we use for our Feelings in our Local Languages but those Words are not Applicable to be Called Interjections because in English Grammar we Use Only those words which are a part of the English Vocabulary.
