What is Present Continuous Tense?
Present continuous tense Shows/Express a work or Event which is Currently in Progress.
In Simple Words, Present continuous Tense Means 'All those works/Events which is still in progress and has Not Ended yet'.
Present continuous tense may also use when a Work/Event is in Progress but not at the time of Speak.
Some of the Examples of Present continuous tense are
- I am making a world map.
- I am celebrating my Younger Sister Birthday.
- We are going to Perform on Jennifer Songs.
- She is talking like a lawyer.
In Present continuous tense we use the Subject+Helping verb like this
If we use I as a Subject Am will be used as a helping verb, while the ING will be used with the main verb (verb+ing). For Example
- I am watching News.
- I am selling my new iPhone.
- I am going to see my New form house again.
- I am practicing for Annual Day Speech.
If we use He, She, It as a subject then we will use Is as a helping verb in the sentence, while Ing will be added to the main verb (verb+ing). For Example
- He is Posing for Pics.
- She is nursing in the Hospital.
- It is Raining.
- She is cooking.
- He is Eating Chinese.
If we use You, We, They as a subject, then the Helping verb Are will be used in the Sentence, while ing will be Added to the main verb (verb+ing). For example
- You are singing Awesomly.
- We are making Pizza.
- They are swimming under the Waterfall.
- We are visiting Dubai this Friday.
- They are organizing a party for us.
- Negative Case:
In Present continuous tense we use Not After the Helping verb while the main Verb continues with its Ing Form. For Example
- You are not Singing Awesomly.
- We are not Making Cake.
- She is not twerking like Miley.
- We are not visiting her home this weekend.
- Interrogative Case:
In Interogative Case we use Helping verb as a subject and Subject as a helping verb while the Main Verb Continues its ing Form. Question Mark will be Added at the End of the Sentence. For Example
Are you Singing Awesomly?
Are we Making, Cake?
Is She twerking like Miley?
Are we visiting her Home this weekend?
