What is a verb?
A word Which Shows an Activity in a Sentence. For Example
- John is Going to His New School.
- Jennifer Doing morning Walk.
- Henderson Eating Apples.
- Ali Playing in the Street.
In the Above Lines Going, Doing, Eating, and Playing are the Verbs because all these Words Shows an Activity.
Always Remember that A Sentence never Completes without a Verb that why it's called the Heart of A sentence. Verb Should be Used After the Subject.
Types of Verb:
Based on Subject & Object the verb has been divided into two main Types which are Intransitive & Transitive Verbs.
- Intransitive Verb: A type of Verb which don't need the Help of a preposition or Helping verb to a Complete a sentence. Intransitive verb just Need a Noun to complete a sentence. For Example.
- Play Guitar
- Enjoy Music
- Transitive Verb: A type of verb which requires a Helping Verb or Preposition to Complete a sentence. For Example:
- Please Eat the Banana.
- She is not a good swimmer.
- He will pass the Exam this Month.
In the Above Lines the Preposition/helping verbs The, is, Will helps the Transitive Verb to Complete a sentence.
Some of the Other recommended kinds of Verbs are the Following.
- Helping Verb: Helping Verb Functions like a Backing a support for the main Verb in A sentence. Helping Verb Defines the Activity and Specialty of the Main Verb. For Example
- He is a master of Cycling.
- She has no Boyfriend.
- They are Playing Opposite to the Main Stadium.

- Stative Verb: This type of Verb Defines the Circumstances, Position or Situation of a Person or thing. For Example
